Marvel’s INHUMANS Joins Television With First Trailer Launched

"“Marvel’s Inhumans” explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever."

Marvel is ramping up their television presence, adding to AGENTS OF SHIELD, LEGION, and the upcoming THE GIFTED and CLOAK & DAGGER (RUNAWAYS not far behind), and of course Netflix’s Daredevil + Jessica Jones + Luke Cage + Iron Fist - collectively known as THE DEFENDERS - with INHUMANS - whom in the comicbooks crosses paths and stories with Fantastic Four + X-Men + Avengers, and with a direct reference to AGENTS OF SHIELD, so eye-balls are on this show. And I am sure “LOCKJAW” (the teleporting huge mutt, BTW), buffers and offers up the cuteness factor here LOL

Marvel’s Inhumans is scheduled to premier in IMAX theatres Sept 1st, and subsequently the full series starting Sept 29th on ABC.

WHO-ARE: "The Inhumans are a fictional race of superhumans appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

The comic book series has usually focused more specifically on the adventures of the Inhuman Royal Family, and many people associate the name "Inhumans" with this particular team of super-powered characters.

The Inhumans first appeared in Fantastic Four #45 (December 1965), though members Medusa and Gorgon appeared in earlier issues of that series (#36 and #44, respectively). Their home, the city of Attilan, was first mentioned years earlier, in a Tuk the Caveboy story written and drawn by Jack Kirby that appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941). The city was described as the home of a race that was evolutionarily advanced when human beings were still in the Stone Age.

The Inhuman Royal Family had been adapted to numerous Marvel animated series and video games over the years. Inhuman characters were introduced in live-action in the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., while the Inhuman Royal Family will be featured in the TV series Inhumans, which is scheduled to premiere in 2017."
